Hair Extension Care
The foundations of care
Love your hair. Care for your luxe.
Your extensions are made from 100% real human hair. Unlike hair growing from the scalp, extensions do not receive a continuous supply of natural oils. Thoughtful aftercare helps maintain softness, shine and natural movement.
1. Brush with care Use an extension-friendly brush or wide-tooth comb. Begin at the ends and gently work upwards. Support the hair with one hand to reduce pulling on your natural hair and attachment points. Never force your way through knots. Detangle before washing and take extra care when the hair is wet.
2. Wash gently Wash removable extensions when needed; for installed extensions, follow your stylist's washing advice. Use a gentle, extension-friendly shampoo and lukewarm water. Work in a downward direction without rubbing, twisting or bunching the hair. Rinse thoroughly and apply conditioner mainly to the mid-lengths and ends.
3. Keep the lengths hydrated Use a suitable conditioner and, when needed, a nourishing mask on the mid-lengths and ends. A small amount of lightweight serum or oil can help maintain softness and shine. Avoid product build-up and keep oils, conditioners and heavy masks away from tapes, bonds and other attachment points.Your method matters. Follow the specific care instructions for your extension type and your professional stylist's advice, especially around washing and attachment areas.
Dry, style & protect
Small daily habits help keep your hair looking beautiful.
4. Dry correctly Gently squeeze out excess water, then pat with a soft towel. Never rub or twist the hair. Allow removable extensions to air-dry whenever appropriate. For installed extensions, dry both the hair and attachment areas as advised by your stylist. Use a moderate hairdryer temperature and avoid excessive heat on attachments.
5. Sleep with completely dry hairWet or damp extensions can tangle, mat and place unnecessary stress on attachment points. Before bed, dry the hair completely, brush gently and secure installed extensions in a loose braid or low ponytail. A silk or satin pillowcase can help reduce friction. Remove removable extensions before sleeping when recommended for that method.
6. Use heat responsiblyReal human hair can be curled, straightened and blow-dried, but excessive heat can dry it out. Apply heat protection first, use the lowest effective temperature and avoid repeated passes over the same section.Keep hot tools away from
7. Take extra care on holidayLimit exposure to chlorine and seawater, which can dry the hair, cause tangling or affect colour. Keep extensions out of the water when possible. After contact, rinse with clean water and follow your care routine promptly. Be mindful of sun, saunas, sunscreen and tanning products; some products may discolour lighter shades.
Preserve your luxe
Professional support and careful storage complete your routine.
8. Colour with professional guidance Extensions may already have been processed to achieve their shade. Further colouring or toning can affect their condition and lifespan. Consult an experienced professional and always perform a strand test. Darkening is generally preferable to lightening; bleaching is not recommended. Results of chemical treatments after purchase cannot be guaranteed by SeBella Luxe.
9. Keep up with maintenance For permanent or semi-permanent methods, follow the maintenance schedule recommended by yourhairstylist. As your natural hair grows, attachment points move away from the scalp. Delaying maintenance can increase tangling and unnecessary tension. Never forcibly remove professionally installed extensions yourself.
10. Store removable extensions carefully Make sure the hair is clean, completely dry and gently detangled before storing. Arrange the extensions neatly in a clean, dry place, protected from tangling, crushing, excess moisture and direct sunlight. Never store extensions while they are wet or tangled.
Wear it. Love it. Care for it.
With gentle daily care, suitable products and professional maintenance where required, you can help preserve the softness, shine and movement of your 100% real human hair extensions.
